old paper1Text Box: Come join us for the 5th annual Civil War Days in White Hall, Illinois at the White Hall Reservoir (also known as Custer Park). We have a new date this year that has changed from April to the first weekend of October. The White Hall Reservoir is located one mile east of White Hall on Lincoln street off of Hwy. 67. Signs will be in place.
This year we will again feature General Grant, Mark Twain, Edward Hagar (White Hall's Little Drummer Boy of Shiloh) and other personalities. There will be battles each day at 2:00 p.m. and demonstrations throughout each day. Come see the sights and sounds of cannon fire, cavalry and musket fire! Visit the encampments and period vendors and also a Civil War embalmer. Restroom facilities are available as well as handicap parking and handicap restroom.
School days will be on Friday, October 2nd for school children only. Registration is required. Last year we had approximately 1200 area school children visit our school event. Stations pertaining to the  Civil War are setup for the children to visit. There will not be a battle on Friday. Period vendors will be open for purchases of souvenirs.
For the re-enactors: A free meal will be provided Saturday evening, as well as a Grand Military Ball with live period music. Breakfast will be served Saturday and Sunday mornings for a minimal fee.
